Before even considering writing opinions, we wish to show our support for the restaurant has brought Indian food to Sopot - not an easy task when faced with general naiveté in Poland over the wealth and complexity that is Indian cuisine. illustrated all too painfully by phrases such as "Kuchnia Hinduska" (kind of a paradox when there is meat on the menu!!) or the use of kaffir lime leaves and vegeta in a recipe I recently found posted online as "Ryba po Hinduska" (Hindu style fish).
Tandoor House, fortunately has few such quirks. You will of course find some of the golden oldies such as chicken tikka masala on the menu, but no negative points for that - it's come to be something of an unavoidable play-it-safe in Indian restaurants around the world. For anyone desiring an introduction to this fascinating, varied, tasty and intelligent food, we would highly recommend Tandoor House in Sopot. Excellent and not over-pretentious atmosphere, complemented with skilled and experienced cooking, fresh ingredients and passion, a few steps from the sometimes chaotic charade of Monte Casino. Keep it up guys - and for f*&#'s sake keep away from that vegata! :)
